A nonprofit pediatric hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, required floors for a kitchen and several operating rooms. Stonhard’s two-decade partnership with the project’s architect led to their involvement.

The hospital’s planners sought easy-to-clean, decorative floors that were stain resistant and ergonomic.

Stonhard recommended Stonres RTZ, a seamless urethane flooring system for the operating rooms and Stonclad UT, a urethane flooring system formulated for food environments for its kitchen.

Another Successful Hospital Flooring Project

In all, Stonhard crews installed 32,000 sq. ft. of decorative, ergonomic, sound-absorbent flooring in 13 operating rooms and 8,000 sq. ft. of thermal-resistant, chemical-resistant, easy-to-clean, flooring for the hospital’s kitchen.

Hospital planners loved the beautiful aesthetics of the new seamless floors, while operating room staff were delighted with the ergonomic comfort and stain resistance they offered.
