Tourist Attraction Takes on the Challenge of Standing Out in Las Vegas
FlyOver Las Vegas offers an immersive travel journey that features a 52.5-foot-wide spherical screen, flight motion seats, and sensory effects that transport you over various landscapes. Competing for attention in one of the flashiest cities in the country, planners knew they required a design to captivate visitors immediately upon entering the door.
In collaborating with Stonhard and Liquid Elements, the owner and creative director were able to bring their theme to life beginning with a custom floor. Their mission was to have the immersive experience go beyond the attraction itself and start from the moment visitors entered the building.
Reflect, a highly decorative, handcrafted, metallic, epoxy flooring system fulfills a unique, artistic vision.
Flowing Design with Functionality: Custom Colorado River Floor with Liquid Elements
Liquid Elements first addressed substrate issues before grinding the floor. Stonhard’s Stonclad GS troweled epoxy mortar and Stonproof ME7 urethane membrane systems were then used to level the uneven surface. This was followed with Reflect, a highly decorative, handcrafted metallic epoxy system that is durable, resilient, and easy to clean.
Reflect was installed in a custom color and design depicting the flowing Colorado River for a distinctive design. Behind the bar, the urethane Stonclad UT flooring system was installed to ensure slip resistance and protection against impacts, stains, splashes, and spills.
